Borrowing Privileges at The Libraries
Bring your photo/ID library card and the books you wish to check out to the Circulation Desk. Date due bookmarks are available at the checkout desk; please take a bookmark before you leave the desk area. The online catalog Blais will also indicate the due date for each checked-out item. Undergraduate freshman, sophomore and junior students have a 28-day loan period. Seniors and graduate students have an all-semester loan period.Undergraduates have a limit of 60 books that may be checked out at one time; graduate students may have 140 books checked out at any given time. Faculty and staff of The Claremont Colleges may check out 100 books; staff have a one-semester due date and faculty have a one-year due date.
Books may be renewed with or without the books in hand. Renewal requests must be made in person or by telephone. Books will be renewed unless they have been requested by another borrower.
