There are special collections in The Claremont Colleges libraries, Denison and Honnold/Mudd, which hold unique and rare collections that are available to the students, faculty, and staff of the various Claremont institutions, and to scholars, researchers, and members of the community.

Hours

Special Collections materials are available by appointment, or if the materials are located in Honnold/Mudd, they are available during Reading Room Hours. Some of our collections require either advance notice or a waiting period, and visitors coming from a distance should give a week’s notice of their arrival. Please note that our hours vary during semester breaks.

Reading Room Hours at Honnold/Mudd

*Fall 2009:

Monday–Thursday — 1:00 to 7:00 PM

Friday–Saturday — 1:00 to 5:00 PM

*Thanksgiving Hours: Open Wednesday, November 25, 1:00-5:00 PM

Closed:Thursday-Saturday, November 26-28th

Winter Break: December 19, 2009-January 18, 2010

Open January 4-18, 2010, Monday-Friday, 1:00-5:00 PM
