The Nineteenth-Century Political Pamphlets were purchased by David W. Davies, Librarian, on behalf of Honnold Library in the 1950s from a London book dealer. There are approximately 1880 uncataloged pamphlets arranged by broad subject heading in the collection. The collection contains a wide variety of materials relating to politics, social problems, the economy, etc., primarily in Britain, although there are some pamphlets that deal with continental and colonial problems. Some early twentieth century pamphlets have been included in the collection where the subject matter relates to the nineteenth century.
