“The Faculty Punch-Bowl”
A punch-bowl belongs to the Faculty, And it passes on its way Whenever one of these “powers that be” Has a crystal wedding day. Prof. Bissell first, and then the Dean Guarded the bowl with care, And now at the President’s home ’tis seen For a limited sojourn there. Oh! unmarried three of the Faculty, Do not a moment delay! But strive for this bowl, the delight of each soul, On his crystal wedding day. Oh! think of this bowl of the Faculty! Which you each in turn may possess, If you leave your state of celibacy, And single blessedness.
